Just sage and report, people. You know the drill.

Don't read books where other people tell you what Nietzsche wrote.
Don't read annotated and abridged samplings of Nietzsche's work.
Just read Nietzsche. It is a satisfying experience.

I've already read all of Nietzeche's works and wanted to see what other people's interpretations were.

Well, I've read all of Nietzsche, sadly I'd be more interested in having you post a picture of your tits than hearing your actual opinion of his works.

No. Secondary literature is just as important, especially with such a thinker as Nietzsche is, where you as a reader can easily disregard important things that are crucial to an understanding. Read Nietzsche and his reception and comments on his works: it can only help you.

I found the Walter Kaufman translation and treatments of Nietzsche's work valuable.

>>1782215
I've read Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Beyond Good and Evil, and Antichrist, and I was young at the time. I'd say there was an emotional impact to reading them (especially Zarathustra) that informed my opinion on the type of man I wanted to be.

It's certainly not a scholarly interpretation by any means, but invaluable to me nonetheless.

We'd read the German if German grammar wasn't so fucked up.
