the protagonist is a vaguely autistic but very sympathetic type, many identify heavily with him. Its a very good book i would highly recommend it.

We need not only have books with likeable and winning protagonists. Stevens was so wonderfully drawn that even if you hated him you should still be able to manage some sympathy for him as well.
