yeah man.
its your professor's job to challenge your ideologies and beliefs. don't take it personally. don't resent him for it, and definitely don't work to censor or change that.
you are allowed to develop your own opinions through the disagreements and discussions you have with him. even if he's a hack, he's a professor and you and a student. respect your context, and bring your energy to your papers.

Is he doing it like a fag or with genuine disputation? Like, I had a professor who would just scoff at any arguments that presupposed God. By total contrast, I had a professor who argued against absolutely everything. Every concept or idea or argument we learned about, religious or secular, he would have us consider the counterarguments to it (and often the response to the counter arguments too). Simply because he wanted to emphasis the importance of disputation in philosophy. It would leave many classes feeling like a rollercoast. Where he would propose a world-shattering position, then demand we disprove it, and if we couldn't he would do it himself, and then have us respond to that. Often frustrating, but fulfilling in the end.

He's quite clever, he goes talking about morality, the argument from design, the problem of evil, determinism, concluding that there is insufficient proofs or whatever. He never gives any explicit reason to why we shouldn't believe in God, but the whole process and the conclusions we reach make his intention quite clear. He also accepts criticism from the alumni, and as you might understand given the rhetorical skills of a modern undergrad they're always defeated.

A United States Marine was taking some college courses between deployments. He had completed 20 missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist, and a member of the ACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "GOD, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes." The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am GOD, I'm still waiting."

It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold.

The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned, and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, "What in the world is the matter with you? Why did you do that?"

The Marine calmly replied, "GOD was too busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot. So, He sent me."

The classroom erupted in cheers!

Any philosophy class that doesn’t take seriously the question of the existence or non-existence of God is a joke. Philosophy isn’t when you take a milquetoast presently popular opinion and just bludgeon undergrads with it.

The most brilliant thinkers in human history have established cogent and meaningful arguments for why there would be a God, and just “muh problem of evil” is ruining the class from one of the most essential enduring questions of Western philosophy.

Come at this bitch with knowledge of what consciousness actually is (individuated units of grand unified consciousness aka the omnipotent divine mind of God), that our mind gives off an energy signal which can alter physical particles and for which the signal frequency is altered by our moods (they call them brainwaves, more properly understood, "mindwaves"), show him the evidence that physical macrostructures in the universe mimic the appearance of microstructures within the mammalian brain, and explain how all matter is simply reducible to non-solid energy particles vibrating in a slow condensed fashion, and then explain how these energy particles are arranged by separate universal forces that mimic the affects of our mindwaves at macrocosm, and then explain how we are living with a virtual reality simulation within a divine, mathematically driven reality matrix; living within a thought within the mind of God, separate but whole units of his consciousness.
Then call him gay at the end too

Yeah, this is about as far as I got into the thread before I realized that you're borderline illiterate. Not sure how you qualified to get into a university. If you don't up your game you're going to be in for a rough ride. Not just in university but in life.

But this here:
>pisses me off
> is that things like this move impressionable retards away from God,

You have a very shallow grasp on life in general. Your anger stems from your frustration that there are people in this world who think differently than you, believe differently than you, and are far more educated than you. Your arrogance is that you think that you have nothing to learn, that you already know everything. Have you ever heard that old joke that when you sit down in a card game and you don't know who the mark is, you are the mark? Guess what. You're sitting in a class and don't know who the slow student is.

What are you going to do to fix that?

The logical side of myself thinks it is alright to discuss religion in a challanging, after all it is healthy to dispute things with well meaning intentions. However, having been once an edgy atheist who mocked and derided all possible merits of religion as conformist indoctrination. I nowadays see religion as a very humble way of seeing things. I have not read any theological manuscripts at all and don't know if I should or want to. I think I might prefer my perhaps naive and romantic view of religion instead of focusing on cold hard rules of tradition. I submit to something infinitely more powerful but benevolent being I feel is a sign of maturity. It is saddening to hear a young persons mockery of spiritual respect and brotherhood. But it is pleasing to see people of any age to realize the beauty of life, to hear them appreciate the world and the oppertunity of loving their fellow men. I think there is something of value in religious spirituality and I hope your professor does too. I would be saddened if he only thought of the nasty sides of institutional religion. Spirituality is too kind and human to think away as tool of opression.

Challenge your prof to a one on cage match . You representing Yahweh the god of Abraham , Isaac , and Jacob, the prof representing secular humanism. I’m guessing your Prof is a Normie when it comes to fighting, and he thinks a cage match is going to be like WWE, or that he could win with karate or something. Obviously, Normie’s Hardcore neglect ground game . Everybody more or less has experience, or basic know how or what a punch looks like, how to land it, but hardly anyone outside of specialists know anything about grappling, to have a tiny tiny bit of grappling training, against somebody who has none, makes a massive difference . Before you start, Pray to God for Samsonite strength. It’s highly highly unlikely that it will be granted to you, God has missions trips to fund for white girls but hey, you gotta shoot your shot. Anyways dude, you’re going to overwhelm him with a shock and awe ground game. Find your closest jujitsu studio, and if it’s open most places give you a month for free. If it’s not open, then find whoever the owner is, message them directly through Instagram, and they’ll give you one on one training. It’ll definitely be more expensive, but hey, you’re fighting for the existence of the God of the universe so I think you can spare $200. Anyways, practice basic takedowns, and then a couple submissions (just the basics will do, rear naked choke etc.) Go a couple times a week, most places offer open mat, where you can find a guy to work stuff out with, they’re usually really nice And are happy to see you grow. Also make sure to not neglect basic conditioning, get up to running maybe 5 miles and a little weight training definitely won’t hurt. The day of the fight, bell rings, you touch gloves and then just go for the takedown boom submission, over in 20 seconds . The entire class, obviously watching submits to the will and glory of the Lord Jehovah. From there, pick out an eligible maiden from your class, and , after marriage promptly motorboat those mommy milkers
