That isn’t edgy, by very definition. Edginess is subjective to the times, making racist jokes about blacks wasn’t edgy a century ago because nearly everyone was racist, it’s edgy now because racism is deemed unacceptable. Conversely, making jokes about Christians now isn’t edgy but it was in the past when almost everyone was Christian.

Some might consider the black characters mannerisms to be offensive, or maybe the stereotype of LGBT people (overly femanine/masculine) to be offensive but I think that the book pokes fun of everybody pretty equally, Besides I never heard any sjw complaine.
