how do i write boring mainstream literary crap that can make me boatloads of money?

I'm not talking about science fiction/fantasy/horror writers, those people actually work for a living. I mean every dull, shallow, pretentious piece of schlock you were forced to admit was "good" because you were too proud to admit it was boring as fuck and you didn't learn anything?

Teach me, I'm trying to learn /lit...

Don Delillo is the exception, not the rule.

Also, it's not really for everyone. Thousands of idiots try to emulate and/or do what he does, but no one can. Even then, his net worth is shit compared to anyone writing good genre stuff.

In conclusion: write something with lots of tits and explosions and hope it gets made into a movie. Otherwise you're not going to make boatloads of money.
