Why would you buy new books? Considering the amount of books I read that would've cost me tens of thousands of Euros when you even have the option to just get the content for free from the library. If you want them physically you almost never have to spend more than say half that price and all the popular classics you will get in nice and unread editions for next to nothing.

I bought like 50 books last year when they had the crazy covid promotions with 40% lower prices. I mostly pirate stuff for my Kindle now tho, cost me nothing except the initial price of 100 Euros.

Are you buying hardcovers? I usually pay around 10-12€ for mine, mostly Oxford world classics and Penguin classics printings.
