/fit/ is antithetical to /lit/

A /lit/izen does not concern himself with bulging muscles. Even when exercising he is more concerned with aesthetics and thought, preferring to walk or hike rather than lift things up and down. I would go so far to say that any excess of muscle is representative of a language the /fit/anon didn't learn, a book he didn't read, or a fun fact he didn't memorize.

Visit the board for a few moments and you'll see nothing but utter stupidity, anti-intellectualism, and inceldom. If they had any brains at all they would have sought favour with /sci/ to get help with their steroid cycles and DNP use.

I'm early 20s white male, decently in shape, as far as 2020 was concerned things went alright for me.

I started meditating every day back in September, read a handful of books, went through Sam Harris 'Waking Up' app. I think its too soon to say that it has been "life-changing" but I can certainly feel its benefits through reduced stress, better sleep, calmer temperament, etc.

In fact as cringey as it sounds it really feels like that I'm 'waking up' or my 'eyes are opening', through meditation I'm starting to realize that something strange is going on, we might not be living in just a naturalist world after all anons...

This anon knows.

Pliny the Younger to Tacitus
>You will laugh at this, and your laughter is in order. This acquaintance of yours has captured three boars. 'What, you yourself?' you ask. 'Yes, but without totally abandoning my idle and restful life.' I would sit by the nets, armed not only with hunting-spear or lance, but also with pen and tablets. I would contemplate a subject and jot it down, so that if I returned empty-handed, my tablets would be full.
>You are not to despise this manner of study, for it is remarkable how the mind is roused by exercise and movement of the body...So when you go hunting you can adopt my advice, and carry your tablets as well as your food-basket and flask, for you will find Minerva, the goddess of wisdom, roams the mountains no less than Diana, the goddess of the hunt. Farewell.

Its a new feeling for me, but I'll try. Actually I think I have a good analogy for you.

Let's say its summer time, you're at the neighborhood pool. You start in the kiddie pool (toddler/child), then you carried to the regular pool and depending on your life you either are let in gently, roughly, you may be taught to swim, or some motherfucker might Tom Brady your ass into the deep end. In any route you the hit the water and are submerged (late childhood/teenage years/early adulthood).

But then something happens! You (go to college/join the military/fall hopelessly love with a QT) and suddenly you're no longer submerged completely, your head is above water, and you can finally think straight and make decisions for the most part.

This part of the pool is where most people stay the rest of their lives. Some are still in the deep end desperately treading water others are lounging in the shallows, some swim back and forth. They can see people they perceive as outside of the pool and the ones in the deep end even though. While they can think deeply about things they're constrained by the fact the majority of their body is submerged. Furthermore in this analogy, the stairs/ladder is rarely seen by people on their own, and even when the ones outside of the pool tell them about the stairs/ladder they don't believe them.

I guess what I'm trying to say is through meditation you realize you can simply pull yourself out of the pool and dry off, and I'm going through that process right now.

Sorry for the spiel, I'm not sure if this makes sense, but its all pouring out of me right now. Anons we need a holy trinity of /lit/ /fit/ and whatever the meditation board is. We're all gonna make my philosopher kings/queens
