The reality is that not a single philosopher has ever been refuted because our existence is conditioned by temporality and change which means that every single philosopher is at worst in a state of temporary refutation to be salvaged at any point in future by a yet unknown follower of his. There is no "philosophical finality" in this world unless you believe in some sort of Apocalypse (unveiling) at the "end times" where time itself is eventually radically transfigured to accomodate Eternal Truth. Only in such an apocalyptic moment could truth and refutations be unveiled with finality.

The concept of a final end of knowledge, in the sciences or philosophy, of upward progress to an end goal, is nonsense.
