Hi /lit/

For my Reader's Advisory class, I have to read in a genre that I don't often read. I've narrowed it down to either Steampunk or Splatterpunk.

Can anyone suggest some good titles for me to read in either genre? Which genre do you prefer?

I'm enjoying the Affinity Bridge so far.

I like steampunk better, when done well. It can't just be characters with gear glued all over them, running about and screaming 'SCIENCE!' all the time.

what in god's name is splatterpunk? '00s technology crossed with '90s double dare pie roller coasters?

I think Splatterpunk might more commonly be known as "Sicktion" now. Its needless and ridiculous violence, a sub-genre of Horror.

splatterpunk - "The Bridge"

Just read it and it was fairly well written (it delve too far into environmentalism, however).
