I come from an outside perspective, but I am curious as to why Christians rely on translations of the Bible so much. It is my understanding that the original text of the Bible is known and is in Greek and Hebrew. Why aren't copies of the original text (along with translations) used? In Sikhism at least, translations come with the original text which is standardized.

Do you really think we can learn a languages just to read one book that we may or may not even read?

Well no, I did say "along with translations". But the argument seems to be that some translations are more true-to-the-text than others, and providing a copy of the original text would solve that.

These do exist. They are called interlinear or reverse interlinear Bibles.

Is there a printing not on Bible paper, or is that a whole ‘medium is the message’ thing?

The only translations that respect this verse are, KJV, Reina Valera 1995(very enlightening), and Dhouay Rheims

Lolwhat, Bibles use thin paper because the Bible is very long and it saves space. Some translations are on thicker paper like Robert Alter's Hebrew Bible translation.

That image doesn't even refer to the original Greek, it just assumes the KJV is right and the others are wrong. Terrible argument.

We have the original greek version. You could check what it says there...
