First time I forgot an English word, but remembered it in French - Saw some guy hobbling along on crutches - was drawing a blank on the word crutches but remembered bequilles.

Most recently learned french word - crête. Apparently it's in the top 5000 most common words but I've never seen it.

That's what I like about French, so many of the conjugations are pronounced the same, including across tenses, which at first seems difficult but actually makes things quite a bit simpler once you get the hang of it.
