This catches up my attention. Creative people tend to abuse substance more, specially writers.

Why is this? Is the same drive that pushes you to drink and get wasted, the same drive that pushes you to write? Or is it the immediate doom and despair of using what pushes you to write?

I'm a drug/alcohol fiend and it feels like it's a mix of both. Botching a suicide attempt or surviving an accidental overdose really fucks with your mind. You feel like it's your obligation to society to portray in words that doom and despairs, within the realm of your capacities. But then, the same depression that pushes you to write also pushes you to take that next hit. I'm actually proud of my drunk rants.

i assume it has something to do with Bipolar Disorder, which i also assume we're all afflicted with.

Lack of discipline. Also they're usually young and have few experiences that would be interesting to write about. They also haven't internalized that everything has been written. Drugs make them feel original.

Writers are generally on the extreme side of introversion and are isolated by the job, generally anti-social as that's what it takes to write the things they do.

They see it as a prerequisite for becoming a tortured and deep writer, very embarrassing and completely avoidable.

That's an interesting point, I actually have BPD which is like "sever bipolar disorder". I think it has to do with mental illness and creativy in general.

Yes, why even write if you don't enjoy what you write? It doesn't matter if it was said before. And in real life, people gravitate to communicating the same essence with different words, so it's not like it was already "written".

You're retarded and boring and smoke weed to cope with that. Embarrassing that you flatter yourself pretending to be a writer too. Overdose harder next time, faggot.

Smoothbrains abuse drugs and even ruin their lives because they’re smoothbrains without much impulse control. They become the “DUDE WEED LMAO” types, the alcoholics, the addicts to stimulants or opiates, sometimes even the “dude acid expands your mind lmaoo” type, or some mixture of the above.

Midwit normies only drink casually and/or maybe smoke weed occasionally because they’re well-integrated into society and don’t want to be seen as “loser druggies and freaks.”

Big brains mix unreasonably high doses of cough syrup, psilocybin, DMT, and fly agaric mushrooms as a Tantric ritual to pierce beyond the veil of socially conditioned “reality” and enter into the astral realm of the machine elves, even higher into the Platonic realm of the archetypes, or even higher yet to the realm of Allah Himself (pbuh). They also frequently become alcoholics to cope with the stress of living around disgusting n*rmies.
