It's like a middle aged mom reading fifty shades of grey, which is to say that it doesn't mean much.
A lot of young women read Kaur just to know what everyone is talking about / to fit in; once they get exposed to more poetry they realize how shit it is.
Tbh I think she's done more good than harm because although she popularized a style of poetry that is comedically bad, the artform being in the public eye is better than it falling into complete obscurity for the average person.
