Books in favor of monarchy, books lauding histories great monarchs, etc

"Empire of the Tsar" is about a gay frenchman who goes to Russia thinking he approves of autocracy, but leaving with a bit of a different idea. He constantly makes really ethnocentric observations, complains about everything, and talks about carriages all the time. It's lengthy, but a good primary source from an aristocrat, if you like history and all that. Kinda like Democracy in America, but Russian.
