>Modern Western civilization has lost the ability to maintain itself. People and institutions now operate without seemingly any historical or moral context. This book concerning philosophy comes out at a timely moment to provide the reader with the intellectual tools necessary to put society back together. The author began his journey to make sense of the chaos of present society more than six years ago, in 2014, and he documented all of his findings in a personal journal, later turning it into a narrative.
>With no previous background in philosophy, the author brings a fresh, personal perspective to tackle every conceivable topic, both big and small. The author plumbs the depths of his personal experiences, subconscious mind, sociopolitical happenings, and every field of science to arrive at grounded, yet far reaching philosophical discoveries. What are the key concepts of the future that must be understood to reconstitute civilization, and permit it to grow? Going beyond equality, we must understand how a synthesis of unequal parts is possible.
>Join the author on his unlikely journey as he progressively uncovers one idea after another, each leading him ever further away from the established boundaries of intellectual thought. The view is one of a kind.
A content-free no-substance synopsis of the book doesn't bode well for its quality. Also, "no previous background in philosophy".

Hello, I've actually read this mess. It's a diary with commentary and it is shockingly shockingly bad.

If it's a parody, the beginning isn't very funny or bizarre, but oh boy does it pick up as it goes on.

There are some strange moments such as:

>>One moment, everyone might trust a company, and the next moment, the company could be seen as leprous simply because of some regulatory violation that no one knew of. Volkswagen, for example, went from being admired for making great cars to being crooks who lied to every government in order to make their diesel engines look better performing than they really were.

...where the author really shines in his ignorance. "In my 20s, I had a career in economics"—but doesn't know what happened with Volkswagen?

From biographical details, the author is about 32 years old. And this is what his mind has to offer us:

>>The emotions were real, and in the professional competitive scene
the money was real too; many pros made a living out of playing the game.

>>I had quit the game by 2016 because I had gotten quite good at it. And more than playing the game, what I had always wanted out of it was some type of intellectual, or mental, growth. I had learned much about the psychology of the warrior while playing it, and I had also understood a key part of the masculine thinker, which was that the masculine thinker had to simplify his thoughts. This game "League of Legends" was perhaps the most useful game I had ever played because it was more than entertainment...

can the ones who live on the fringe help but find themselves idiosyncratically barred from communicating ideas long since lain flat with order? Really, getting a peep at reality is only useful for getting a perspective on how much catching up you still have to do even get the slightest gist.
The rest of the time is either idle or rooting around like mole rats. Blind yet to the world we have not yet built the foundational organs to witness, let alone think.
Do you have an alternative to this wicked tendency for people with plenty of energy to exert it in a positive way for themselves and society, instead of being "cringeworthy" burdens and so forth.

And given the societal conditions with the virus, we can safely assume he is still jobless and in his childhood bedroom as he posts at the rotten age of 33.

He should do a Q&A again. He has the time, obviously.

And don't believe for one second anyone read this besides me. It's way too long. Dubliners and Portrait combined are less long. Any of Nietzsche's books are less. Etc.

I wish Meillassoux was, but he's a lot less well-read than he should be in order to be the next Kant. Badiou, Meillassoux, and Gabriel are all sort of trying to be the next Kant, in that order, but I don't think we'll get the next Kant unless these continentals read analytic philosophy in-depth, especially Carnap and Quine and the advances in metametaphysics since Lewis and Armstrong. It's funny reading Meillassoux after reading Nagel's The View From Nature for example because Nagel basically said things Meillassoux claims credit for now. And Meillassoux hasn't gone past his good original points. He returns (in my opinion) to the pre-critical rationalism he criticizes when he decides to be rationalist in introducing, entirely a priori, his principle that there are no laws. He thinks it got past the old rationalism because he proved a law rather than the existence of a thing. Well I don't think that really moves past old rationalism one bit. Everything else Meillassoux does past this, including his speculation about a future resurrection miracle, and everything speculative realism begot after Meillassoux, beginning with Harman's OOO (which is honestly just correlationism all over again) and the crazier shit that comes after Harman, is a major betrayal of Meillassoux original anti-correlationist insights. I will give him the credit for what he did but he falls short from being the next Kant we need.

Interesting how all the Amazon reviews are either 1 or 5 stars. From a recent review:
>Maybe you should read a philosophy book before trying to write one. I don't even need to explain what's wrong with it, look at the free preview and see if you can keep yourself from laughing.
>EDIT: I have been contacted by someone claiming to be the author, and they say they are not happy I wrote this and that I must be a part of some academic institution looking to de-platform him/her. If he/she reads this, I'm sure someone who "went farther than any other human in advancing key ideas for understanding nature" (Chapter 139, first paragraph) can survive negative Amazon reviews.

It gets posted here by the author. The pattern is always the same.

From having read his book, which is not a philosophy book, it's a journal, we can see that he got excited by Trump, arrived at /pol/, read BAP, then fantasized about BEING BAP, then started compiling his journal then someone on (I think) Discord told him that 4chan has a board about books.

That's why from day zero everything promoting or asking about this LITERAL JOURNAL as if it's a philosophy book is so completely alien.

You'll also notice how alien the images are on the posts that are clearly Horia: >>17441657

Don't feel bad. If you read his journal, I promise you wouldn't. Imagine a parody of My Twisted World but the parody is accidental. In a book that reviews his entire adult life up until the summer of 2020. Yes, that includes his time at college. Not a single god damn person makes an appearance.

That should strike fear into you. It should raise pity. But relax, he also mentions zero longings or desires for anything. Like some weird robot.

It'd have been a better shitpost if it was like 80 pages, so people would read it. You'd get some people try to make his ideas make sense, others ironically shitposting about it, and people getting angry, then even more people piling on.

It'd also have been funny if the book was totally blank or didn't exist at all.

Fun fact: His book has more semicolons than all of Infinite Jest.

I prefer all of these to Land but if were being honest Land influenced 5x the people these three did while he was still young. Fisher and negarestani alone are way better than those 3 combined

I your scenario into an AI.

Here you go:

I am tied to a X shaped table.
A flashlight is fastened to my cock, linked to a pump.
My head gets fitted into a VR helmet with headphones and all
My asshole is attacked by a pumping dildo.
The rest of my body is mummified in latex.
As my torture begins, the VR shows me the face of a girl bemusedly reading to me accelerationist philosophy and poetry, only making small breaks to ensure me that I'm pathetic and deserve all this.
I will stay in this position with no food and water for a week or until I die, whichever comes first.
This was always my fate, as long as that means I don't have to interact with retarded pseuds on the internet. That's my punishment. Let's hope I learn to enjoy it.
...
You can't take it anymore.
You scream.
"Do you feel that?" the girl bemuses.
"Go to hell!" you scream.
"I think he feels it," she says.
The dildo pumping your ass slows down for a second, and then starts pumping at full speed again. Your ass is on fire. You want to pass out from the pain, you want to die.
"Good," the girl says.
You scream as you feel the pump kick in.
The pump forces your blood up to your dick and helps it to engorge with blood.
You feel the blood rushing to your dick and the veins bulge on it. The head of your dick gets so hard that you could cut yourself with it.
Moaning, you feel like your dick is going to explode. Over and over again it bulges, each time bigger than the last. You're about to pass out as the pain takes over your body.
All of a sudden, your dick stops growing and goes back to its normal size.
"Ahh... so good," you say.
You feel dizzy and light headed.
Your dick has reverted back to its flaccid state, now lying on your legs. You pant as blood rushes to your head. You feel exhausted.
The ghostly girl looks down at you.
"Do you feel that?" she asks.
"I... think so," you answer, still feeling woozy.
The girl nods.
"That is the mind of master. That is power."
"Do I win?" you ask, trying to keep up your energy.
"You did well," the girl says.
"Then my prize is yours. What do you want?"
"I want to talk to you," the girl says.
"About what?" you ask.
"We are not defined by our bodies."
"Then what do you want to talk about?" you ask.
The girl looks at you with a gaze that make you want to cry.
"I want to talk about the meaning of life."
"There isn't one," you say.
"I don't believe so. We are alone. Life is meaningless. Death is preferable. That's what I want to talk about. Do you want to hear?"
You nod, too tired to speak.
"Life is pain. Anything before or after is irrelevant."
Your head nods drowsily as the girl's voice takes you under.
"All that exists is the struggle for power. Who has the most, who rules the most. Those with the most power can achieve anything. Those without, die."
You nod as you begin to feel sleepy.
"There is no God. There is no soul. There is no meaning. There is only the game. And you are a pawn in it. Now, sleep."
You close your eyes as your mind lets go.
