Why is it an unrealistic question? Also, the classics don't have value in a void, nor is their quality as being valueable ethereal, it is contextually based in the technical skill and mastery of symbolic imagery of the writers in question. Someone who sees this and doesn't resonate with it at least has an understanding of the inner workings of literature, the latter case only experiences literature rather than understanding it.
