17404640 No.17404640 [Reply] [Original]

Imagine looking like this. No wonder he thought a priori and a posteriori knowledge was essentially two gears in the same machine, he looks like a monkeys child. I bet he would've loved listening to Miles Davis, exactly the type of music that his ethics reeks of. Kant should've met Spinoza, those two could've put spiders in a death battle together and made it look like a socially acceptable past time.

Yes there are.
I'm sure some anon will post it but there was a secondary source that described his appearance.
Basically:
>Manlet
>Rosey cheeks even in old age (or was it some blond hairs? can't remember)
>Beautiful fucking eyes like you won't believe.
>other stuff I can't be arsed to remember

If we're debating Kant's appearance, here's his death mask. It probably makes him look weirder than he really was because it seems to have been taken with his mouth open (in addition to by definition depicting him at his oldest), but at least it's not subject to debate over whether it's an artistic idealization or not.

As others have pointed out, he most likely had lost all his teeth by then, which radically alters the bone structure of the face.
