Can infinity be finite to one direction, yet infinite to the other direction? You were unborn for an eternity, yet somehow this eternity came to an end. How can this be explained?

Pic related.

Infinity as a property exists beyond time, it can't be framed in a timespan.

Explanation: Reincarnation, you were never born or unborn, you simply are what already exists and already has existed reshaped.

The universe is not eternal, your nonbeing began with its creation

its actually just indeterminate or indefinite, no true infinity can be contained in a line

Do Christians believe the creation starts and ends over and over again? I think I read something like that in Crime and Punishment.

Infinity and eternity are arguably not the same. Eternity is timelessness, it is not the infinite continuation of time. Infinity is the continuation of a series, the cardinality of which is larger than any countable number. Eternity is not countable or uncountable, because there is nothing to count. It is not an infinite sequence of moments, it is the state in which there is no time.

>your nonbeing began with its creation
Certainly that's not true. Your non-being was already in motion even before anything existed, including the universe.

>>17380512
Humor the conditions I've provided please. This is not a matter of what's true.

> Your non-being was already in motion

The concept of motion, like the concept of time, is inherently bound to our universe. The concept of a "before" outside our universe is completely meaningless - we have no conception of it. Time exists only within our universe. Anything outside it is infinitely alien to us.

This is your definitions, but I accept them for sake of argument. Infinity is our universe-bound understanding of something unending. Eternity is that without time, the thing outside our universe.

This is not in any way a philosophical problem. It is purely a linguistic contrivance.
