Why don't Protestants believe Mary is the ark of the new covenant? It's right there in the Bible.

they're afraid of women
that's the consequence of staying too far away from the Mediterranean See for too long

Virgin Mary is truly a nothing character in the bible. Mary Magdalene is far more prominent and even her we have next to no information about

Yeshua practically disowns her in Mark. Chatty Cathies eternally making stuff up to justify sending more money to Rome.

If Jesus is the New Covenant how is Mary not the Ark?

There are very clear instructions on the dimensions of an ark. Try reading the Bible instead of just crying to your priest every time you have a wet dream.

>David went out to retrieve the ark (1 Sm 6:1-2). After a man named Uzzah was struck dead when he touched the ark, David was afraid and said, “How can the ark of the Lord come to me?” He left the ark in the hill country of Judea for three months. We are also told that David danced and leapt in front of the ark and everyone shouted for joy. The house of Obed-edom, which had housed the ark, was blessed, and then David took the ark to Jerusalem (2 Sm 6:9-14).
In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a city of Judah, and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” (Lk 1:39-45)

Yeh, those two passages have nothing in common.

Is your point here, unironically, that David danced and leapt in front of the ark just like John the Baptist leapt in Elizabeth's womb and therefore Mary is the ark of the new covenant?

So you deny the transformative power of the Holy Spirit? Also, is Jesus the same literal dimensions as the 10 commandments (which the ark held) of course not. He is the Word incarnate and Mary the Ark incarnate. Simple stuff here.

Look, I love Catholicism and identify with it more than other denominations, but I definitely don't think that that's in the Bible

I'm familiar with Christian theology and how much cope is put into linking nonsense from the old testament with random details of Jesus's life (which in many cases were written specifically just to match a supposed prophesy). They're unrelated passages. If you observe it from the outside, it's so clear that Jesus's teachings are entirely unrelated to Judaism except for the fact that he had to mention all that stuff because he was preaching to Jews. Jesus never wanted to start a religion, that was all the jew fanatics around him. He was just a dude who respected Roman supremacy and wanted to teach people to live an ascetic lifestyle and caring for others. Super cool dude. But you're delusional.
>>17312904
>So you deny the transformative power of the Holy Spirit?
Uhhhh....
if you mean within the mythology, no, I just think your particular connection is forced and is theological revisionism.
if you mean do I think the holy spirit exists outside of larping, no

>Wording in a text which does not address Jesus as the word is combined with text from a book which does address Jesus as the word is combined but which denigrates the Jews and Moses, but this is ignored so you can create a parallelism between a Divine Man and his mother, and an inanimate object and the box it's contained in
You are a protestant. You are the biggest, blackest, heretic protestant.

Luke 1:43 “And why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me?”

>2 Samuel 6:11 And the ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite three months, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom and all his household.
Luke 1:56 And Mary remained with her about three months and returned to her home.

>2 Samuel 6:14 And David danced before the Lord with all his might. And David was wearing a linen ephod.
Luke 1:41-42 And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!
