Camus is great. Sure he's not the best writer nor the most profound philosopher, but he's a very good entry point to both literature and philosophy. Every angsty teen should have to read Camus before moving to a more personal search for meaning. Camus is the candle one might need in the night while waiting for the dawn.
I highly suspect people who look down on Camus to be either dogmatic idiots or pseuds looking for easy "intellectual points".
