Speaking of publishing companies with bird logos, I leik Norton. Everything I read from Norton makes me feel like a smarty pants. Although I must say that I find the selections of the Norton Anthology of English Lit wanting. Their section on the 18th century doesn't include anything by Fielding, Smollett or Sterne, and their Victorian lit section has only two small excepts from Dickens and nothing by Trollope.

Anybody that reproduced books I can buy for a dollar at used book stores these days is tops in my opinion.

Penguin has my favorite covers/designs though. So simple but so awesome.

>> No.1726147

Penguin/Penguin Classics/Penguin Modern Classics when I want a book with a bunch of great supplementary material.

Wordsworth Editions when I want something old, good, and dirt cheap.

Orbit when I want some good modern sci-fi/fantasy.

My fav is Knopf, because of the borzoi. I think the Borzoi is the most distinguished-looking breed of dog and I hope to someday own one provided I have a place with a sizable lawn.
