Rand's work is not amazing from either a philosophical or literary standpoint. However that has not stopped her works from resonating strongly with many people. You may be one of them.

No offense but you sound like a pleb. Blood Meridian is great but its gonna be a tough read if you arent a reader. Don't be ashamed to read a chapter more than once or maybe look up sparknotes or whatever people use nowadays if you finish a chapter and feel like you dont know wtf you just read.

You should absolutely read the first chapter or two of AS and the Fountainhead just so you can see how fucking dreck it is. Pure propaganda. I read both books in my formative years, cover to cover. Probably the worst books I have ever completed, and that's saying something considering I also read the entire Pendragon series (at the same age)
