I sadly have not gotten around to that one yet, but skimming through it and reading reviews it seems unbiased and interesting enough, i would say check it out. His other books have been very good, especially "The Hundred Years' War on Palestine"

Skip the big tomes (Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged). They're bloated and have absurdly long monologues. Instead go for The New Intellectual and Anthem. The New Intellectual has an introduction where she summarizes her historical and philosophical world view. Then she pulls extracts from her four main fiction works that support or illustrate her points (mainly from the aforementioned monologues).

Anthem is, as stated previously, a good read because it's actually just a good idea for a novella and makes a good individualist manifesto in its own right.

I can't give a good rundown. I read it probably 5 years ago so I can't remember anything about it + I knew how to read but I didn't "know how to read" if you know what I mean. Heard many not dumb people give great reviews about so I I'd say jump right in.
