I currently own a Kobo (glo HD) but I'm honestly not very happy with it.
Kobo offers no easy way to install 3rd party dictionaries and I've already found multiple poor edited books on their store.
Also, the screen size it´s rather small.

Is it really worthy to switch to Kindle? Is the Oasis the way to go, in this case?
I'm honestly interested in purchasing the very best e-reader available on the market. I will buy every book so money is not a problem.

I think this is a problem universal to ebooks, not their particular store. You'll find many complaints of this in Amazon reviews as well.

>I'm honestly interested in purchasing the very best e-reader available on the market.
Boox makes the best e-readers on the market.
They allow you to use Kindle, Kobo and other stores since they run Android and everyone is on Android.
You can load additional dictionaries to their dictionary function as well as load whatever Android dictionary app you want.
The latest generation offers split screen so you can display any combination of apps.
The pack far more powerful hardware than Kindle or Kobo so rendering pdfs is a breeze and their own reader software is far more suited for pdfs than the barebones effort on other readers.
Their flagship device is the Max Lumi. It's 13" so it's perfect for reading folios and the like.

Kobo and Kindle might as well be the same fucking thing these days. Their flagships looks identical.

Go with Kobo unless you really like feeding the Amazon beast. That said, my old Auro One just stopped working one day after about a year's use – some glitch with the screen.

Been using a Boox Poke 2 since, which I really like. Perfect pocket size, and formats everything well. I appreciate being able to load my own dictionary, too. You have to fiddle with the settings to get everything set up good (for instance, the on-screen ball is annoying until you disable it), but that takes like 20 minutes.
