Dear /lit/, what do you drink?

I'll have burgen, please. Burgen, and water. Pic related.

I read that in Richard Burton's voice.

I drink cheap whiskey. Seagrams 7.

I generally don't drink, not because I'm str8t edge or anything, just a pourfag. I like whiskey too, the moderately priced stuff, like Jack. Or beer or wine; not picky, just whatever is cheap and on sale.

Pourfag here. This might be stating the obvious, but if you want slightly better beer, supermarkets and drug stores have been having great deals on beer because of the downturn. Just check your weekly advertisements. The supermarkets around here have been regularly selling 30 pks, I forget for what price, but it breaks down to about 70 cents per can.

I've had one drink in my life.

When I was alone in my sister's house, I drank some of her cheap tequila... at least I think it was tequila. Honestly, I was stupid to drink it. It was a clear alcohol. It had a cheap, poorly designed plastic label with a lobster and a pineapple on it. Everything was written in Spanish. I drank it, and it burnt like fuck. I didn't even feel that good afterwards. I just ate a pizza, watched Fast Times at Ridgemont High, grabbed my junk, and slept.

Collegefag here.

Boxed wine is my thing. Cheap, large quantities, no matter how shitty it is, it tends to contain decent amounts of alcohol without tasting absolutely terrible. I don't give a damn how tawdry it is. If I wanna sip wine for little to no money, by god I'm gonna do it.

I drink straight bourbon, typically. Basil is probably my favorite, although the Evan Williams single barrel is alright too. I find that bookers and bakers are both a little too spicy for me, but I love them in a manhattan (as long as it isn't too sweet).

2nd'ing Campari, although I like drinking an Americano (Campari, Sweet Vermouth, Soda) or a Negroni. If you've never tried Camari before, you owe yourself.

Pro Tip: Just because a bar has Campari does not mean the bartender has any idea what to do with it. If you want to order a Campari drink, be prepared to politely explain how to make it.

ugh, I hate campari, way too bitter for me.
I guess some people just like the taste of orange peel.

What exactly do you do to with it, btw? Drink it straight, on the rocks, with vermouth? Do you have some secret that makes it palatable? Does it require some kind of zest, or perhaps you flame an orange peel in a similar manner to Lillet?

I'd like to know.

>> No.1717315

I guess I'd like to add, while the Negroni is bitter, I can stomach it ok. I just cant imagine anybody drinking Campari straight, unless they just watched The Life Aquatic and want to be hip like Zissou, or something.
