Let's compare mathematical proofs to philosophy. Just the basic things and not even go deep into it; Mathematical proofs are readable and every mathematician knows what each symbol means. They can actually read the proofs and understand them. Most philosophers hide their ideas behind multiple layers of unreadable jargon. Not even people with degrees in philosophy know what philosophers say. The point of philosophy is to cover pages with jargon and become a big name so people will respect you even if you never said anything original
