I will only do that if you put more effort into your threads. Sorry. I do not wish you luck.

Is that the King James?

>> No.17157590

>>17157579
yes, that's why it says King James on the cover

How long does it take to read this thing beginning to end. Phew I feel exhausted already and I'm barely at Noah's ark. So much has happened in such a small amount of time

>> No.17157825

Just started reading as well and it's giving me some conflicted feelings. Does it get better?

It’s pretty good, but pay close attention, specifically in Genesis and Exodus. A lot of the popular tales of the bible are contained in only a few lines. The tower of babel for example is I think only 3 lines.

What do you not like about it? Where are you at?

>> No.17157848

Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Job are all great. However, all the historical books like Genesis and Exodus are both intensely boring and irrelevant to my life. The NT has all the worst qualities of fanfiction.

Exodus. Genesis i got something from but Exodus not so much.

it's seems so easy to read, at least the first chapters where I'm now, and more if you come from reading the Rig Veda like me and the Illiad with a 100 pages long preface that is where I'm stucked, because my autism says that I must read it.

It's going to slow hard at Leviticus

>> No.17160660

>>17157819
reading it beginning to end is kind of unnecessary and honestly difficult. psalms wasnt made to be read straight through considering its made of hymns and proverbs can be hard to read straight through. once u get half way through exodus you will be reading civil law for several chapters and most of Leviticus is law
