Recently got a job and I finally feel like I have found a way to exist on this earth. If I can just continue working here, and spend my time at home pursuing literature and art I'll be content. Work isn't that bad, in fact it can be great for your mental health. We are animals above all else, don't think you can convince yourself that your miserable state isn't miserable purely through intellectual means.

Thoreau ran home regularly and had his mommy do his laundry for him. I don't fault him for this at all, as laundry is miserable women's work, but still.

I'll build my own baita (cuckshed in the Alps) when I'll make it. Thoreau was based though but was kind of a mommy's boy like >>17128282 said.

It's the other way round, you can't afford not to.

The great thing about the current pandemic is that it has fully demonstrated to the population that money is not necessary to make thing happen. You can simply run the machines and make the goods and have a pseudo-exchange and that's enough.

Can you do any farming up there? Is everything already owned so only billionaires can reasonably afford "quaint little 3-acre farms" or does land still transfer between owners?
