It's a pretty good list, but I wouldn't say it's necessarily the best way to "get into" poetry. For example, all of the classical stuff is in dead languages, and reading poetry in translation is a very different experience from reading in the original language. I'd say you first need to familiarize yourself with your own tongue's poetic tradition.
