17103123 No.17103123 [Reply] [Original]

You'll die.
The Sun will engulf the solar system and everyone will die.
The Sun will die too.
Then all the other stars will also die or turn into black holes.
And even black holes will eventually vanish.
What happens afterwards? Has any author sealed with this? /sci/ shooed me here.

>What happens afterwards?

All meaning ceases once you're dead. Which is why your thread is pointless.

The future of the universe was determined when the Big Bang happened (or even before that if that happens to be the case).

There is no balance in nature, everything is in a constant state of transition (including me, btw, not sure if that matters)
Theres a lot of theories about "deaths of the universe" like heat death, cold death, I think theres an iron one, ultimately something else will happen, maybe the whole thing will repeat itself somehow maybe after near infinite dormancy. No way to know, but you can be sure that something will always happen next.

Not quite on the same scale but since nobody else has recommended anything I might as well mention it. The Time Machine by HG Wells. He doesn't travel beyond the death of the universe, but he does deal with the future of humanity and what the world will be like long after it is gone.

2 options: either you aren't alive right now, or you are and therefore nothing ever really ends and you'll just start experiencing something else after death. What you're describing is the physical transition between objects in the universe, but not what it actually means for us. You cut a tree down, all the bugs and birds and spiders that lived in the tree die. You plant a new tree and all the animals come back. Besides, if the black nothingness exists, then it exists in the universe as a something, and while that happens we can all sleep for a while until we come back.

Heat death is maximum entropy. Energy differences are what drive physical processes. Hot bodies cool by radiating thermal energy which heats up the environment around them - this type of balancing is the general trend of the universe. When everything is equal, everywhere in the universe will be at it's lowest energy point.

Vacuum flunctuations will still happen. I'm wise enough to know I'm not wise enough to explain what those are to you, but you should look it up. Some of the implications seem interesting.

Today a friend sent me a gore video, it wasn't because he wanted to shock me, he wanted to talk about insecurity, I thought I was pretty hardened but the video was something else, to dudes were yelling at each other and at a certain point one of them pulled out a fucking knife and stab the other guy in the throat like 4 times, the other guy just looked down at his blood being spilled from his neck, he walked back and fell off to the floor, and I don't know fellas
Are we meatbags? Are we human beings expendable?
What is some literature to help me find peace if we are just bodies waiting to die, I don't know how to explain myself since i'm a brainlet but these videos depress me since it makes me remember we are all just that, bodies, meatbags, do we have souls lads?

Perhaps this is a weird recommendation but maybe try 1812 by Zamoyski. The entire Russian campaign is full of pathetic and meaningless death, to the point where even as a reader totally divorced from anyone involved you can't help but begin to accept it as a normal part of human life. War journals in general also convey this feeling, it's hard to maintain a modern heightened view of life while reading about people dying to the left and to the right of you. All of this doesn't answer any questions, it just makes it easier to accept how life can be.

My thinking is that we only perceive certain dimensions, and in a way we all die into nothingness, but in other dimensions is just some contrast to a bigger picture. Like when an image change in an oled screen. One pixel turns completely dark. But it gives you a certain Image.

Why? Black holes are the universe’s vacuum cleaners. They’ll suck everything up including other black holes. Leave one great big black hole about to swallow one more giant cluster of dark matter and burst like Mister Creosote... a big bang, if you will.

All of this is based on the faith that severely limited models, none of which really have access to solid and varied empirical data, can somehow not only predict the absolute future but define it, reduce all to it. What I'm trying to say is even if it's true it's meaningless and not what constitutes your life or any other life that was or will be. It's not even what constitutes the universe. It is a silly, melodramatic pseudo-nihilism.

Absolute basic bitch take. The exhaustion and replication of all possibilities in actuality is one of the more commoner ancient takes. It is attributed in a somewhat indirect form to Pythaogoras. Plato pays lip service to it. Almost all the Atomists make some mention of it e.g. Democritus, Epicurus, Lucretius. Retards who have not read any other philosophy read Neetchee and attribute everything he says to him.
