is the problem with re-starting nationalism that we essentially have a sort of fake facade of national unity under fake states

for instance in nineteenth century greece the idea of national unification seemed entirely viable since greece at that time didn't really properly exist

is the method by means of which nationalism is re-started basically just re-assessing what a nation even is and making sure people know that the state does not necessarily even represent a nation in its current form that we essentially live in balkanized communites of multi-national chaos

Everything is fake, just accept it and pick an aesthetic everyone is happy with.

false there is an aristocratic principle by means of which you can and should 'do' politics and this is genuine nationalism

Doesn't make sense.

> in nineteenth century greece the idea of national unification seemed entirely viable since greece at that time didn't really properly exist
And what is unviable or proved to be unviable about it?

>is the method by means of which nationalism is re-started basically just re-assessing what a nation even is and making sure people know that the state does not necessarily even represent a nation in its current form that we essentially live in balkanized communites of multi-national chaos
What are examples of this?

its not unviable i mean to say that nationalism is just difficult to bring through because people seem to think it never ended when it actually has... states do not represent nations they represent vague confederacies of multi-national chaos... people seem to think that this is still nationalism when it is not... how can you re-start something no one thinks has ended...

all countries suffer from multi-national chaos the re-emergence of bonapartisme-like nationalism could fix this...

spain, the UK, and so on
Recent waves of "nationalism" have given rise to regions with no history of natioanlism or raison d'etre to become nationalist and even striving for independence
