i've gotten self-conscious and blocked to the point where i can't even write drunk. the minute i start writing my mind just twists around on itself in an endlessly reverberating feedback loop of noticing and evaluating and criticizing myself from every possible direction. it's like being a quadriplegic david foster wallace. all i can do anymore is write stupid anonymous and pseudonymous posts on the internet.

I can write precious stuff drunk and high, i can do weird stuff tripping.

I can write better stuff in a nice place, sober, alone, in the sea, in the woods, in a lovely house, in a big new city.

don juudge me assoel, its true, i...i, im drunk r-right now and you couldn' ev'n tell.

I have good ideas while drunk, and then my writing ends up sucking. Probably means that they were terrible to begin with but hey drunkenness and so forth.
