Reminder than Helen of Troy was 10 years old at most.

>> No.16994322

>>16994264
In the Iliad war had already been going on for 9 years, and Helen was probably at least 12 when she was kidnapped by Theseus years before her marriage to Menelaus. She can't have been younger than 23 at the time of the Iliad.
Anyway she was a daughter of Zeus so she didn't grow up and age in the same way as most mortals do.

>>16992516
some olympian gods -> Paris and Helen -> Agamemnon -> Agamemnon again -> Achilles
in that order. Also most of the olympians are wrong at very single step of this chain, except for Zeus. The Zeus of the Iliad is actually trying to do his job.

>> No.16994349

Achilles was based. You modern numale wouldn’t understand.

>> No.16994371

>be priest
>your city loses
>now your pure virgin daughter has to get raped everyday and clean for the rest of her life
Not fair desu, any father would want to change this. These are the Greeks, not some savage eastern tribe. Inb4 edgy incels.

>> No.16994374

Agamemnon for being a little bitch. The story boils down to ethics of authority, and I WILL NOT YIELD THE MARE.

>> No.16994463

Dolon.

>> No.16995236

just agamemnon
and the whore of course

>> No.16995401

>>16992583
how does that even make sense? alexander the great read this story all the time to model heroics. many critiques at the time treat it like the bible, you absolutely are suppose to see just and injustice
>>16993014
shut the fuck up about achilles
achilles wanted to chill with his brother and go home in one piece but once he lost his best friend he was ready to die in a blaze of glory. It’s badass
if he spent the whole story splitting skulls the illiad would be like 3 chapters

>> No.16995483

Paris, everyone else was is just casualties

>> No.16995749

You may as well be a feminist trying to discuss the Iliad.

>you absolutely are suppose to see just and injustice
Where, exactly?
