Ok so five impactful author. Do you even want to start to compare the enormous list of European writers? Are you serious? Let's not kid ourselves of relativity because you could get more writers from at least five nations in Europe with at least five impactful works. You speak of relativity, however if for example I would take England, I could match your five with a population around 50-60 million, compared to your 300 million. I agree that America is more significant than Europe in the "grand" scheme of things lately, everybody knows what. You as Americans should be ashamed that you have led the cultural and political environment in the west to the extremes that you have. If you want to take credit for everything culturally and politically, it stands to reason that you should have the blame for all the negative aspects of those as well, and I hope you understand as well as everyone else, that the negatives far outweigh the positives.
