Okay here we go:
>What the fuck is Gnosticism?
>Is Gnosticism basically Christianity with an extra dose of schizo?
>How do I get "in to" (learn about) Gnosticism? Where do I even start?
>What are these charts and are they any kind of accurate representation of Gnosticism?
>Gnosticism vs Occultism? WTF?
>"""Racial soul and collective unconscious"""??????????
This is not bait. I'm an idiot and want to know what the fuck is going on with Gnosticism. Here's a preemptive "ty habibi" for any and all information.

here's what i've gathered from lurking on /x/ for a couple months:

>demiurge is bad, jesus was sent to point people to the "true" god, the monad
>the human body is a prison for the spirit
>one must achieve enlightenment to escape the endless cycle of suffering that is existence

there isn't a concrete definition for gnosticism or its beliefs, but these should apply to some renditions of it.

Gnosticism is the dimwit enlightenment so that Gnostics can stay in their arm chair and producing brain farts over and over while having a gullible audience in awe of them
The asian equivalent is Hinduism and Mahayana with their ''just be yourself'' ''do nothing'' and being enlightened just means having some knowledge

Gnostics are just glorified intellectuals addicted to smelly brain farts who moved the goal post from a practice, involving some acquisition of knowledge as a tool to get enlightened, over ''being enlightened is just knowing''.

It's like the academia today being a safe space for impotent philosophers, whereas philosophers used to be live to their words, instead of producing books and babbling about politics on tv shows to get a bigger audience for their books.

>> No.16935030

If each has race and racial soul then trying to save everyone in your race's typical way just means fucking them all over and wasting your time. See Europeans trying to white man's burden the entire world into civilization with a weird mix of racist liberalism and imperialism. The Westernized colonized people's wanted to rule over independent liberal technological nations, with partial democracy because their people weren't ready for it yet. The peasants didn't care about this at all and just wanted whitey gone so they could go back to worshiping their ancestral traditions and living in accordance to their own unique ways of life.
The universalist has to run around the world telling everyone they're all wrong and that you're right and force them to do things they don't want to do. Then, it will fall apart because universalism IS wrong and people ARE different, and different along many lines (like the 3 eso and exoteric realities of race).

the Indians vs Chinese part is just weird and off. Reminds me of the Filipino creation myth where God makes humans in an oven but leaves it on too long and creates blacks, they're bad but he loves them anyways then does it again but takes them out to quickly and creates Whitey, they're bad but he likes them anyway so puts them on earth too. Then he sets it just right and creates... Filipinos.
Always laugh when I think about that myth.

This was my understanding, but apparently these claims are refuted in Alan J. Rocke's Image and Reality: Kekulé, Kopp, and the Scientific Imagination. So I'll have to investigate more.

Honestly, I see this mystic-/pol/ as the most dangerous kind. It perverts spirituality into a tool to dominate and deem yourself superior.

I'm also a Leaf. My first experience with this kind of shenanigans was in grade 12 a few years back. There was this big assembly for all the grade 12s to discuss going into trades vs uni. The presenters were going hard on this new program which allowed grade 12 students to take night classes at the university (while still in high school) to get a head start on their undergrad. The principal noted several times how indigenous students would not only get into classes for half the tuition, they would also be let in with an average grade that was a whole 20% lower than non-native the minimum for non-native students. Even worse, they (and they alone) would be allowed to participate in a "special indigenous focused course emphasizing indigenous learning" (basically meaning easy as shit, no essays either- in an "English" course) that was worth DOUBLE credits. I basically had to sit through a two hour presentation only to be informed that indigenous students could take an easier course with significantly lower entry requirements for half the price and would receive DOUBLE the credits. That was a real redpill for 17 year old me.

Yeah this is the fantasy that women and drones cling to, from their despair to get a higher being to tell them their society is worthy and not so bad, when society is just the endeavor to make the material life easier for the non-enlightened people, especially the women.

Do you guys seriously never get tired from endlessly moralising about racism? Nobody gave a shit about racism before the 1700s. The Buddha didn't give a shit. The Hermetics didn't give a shit. No spiritual master gave a shit about racism. If anything, your anti-racist prejudice is farther from a true spiritual mentality than the opposite. The main issue with "spiritual racism" is when the racism is profane and occupies a role that it does not belong to it.

to be fair it's normal for non-enlightened people to want enlightened to live with them, but of course they hate to hear it's not possible. As a cope they try to push their mental gymnastics that ''everybody is already enlightened you just don't know it bro'', ''there is nothing wrong with a society of non-enlightened people to begin with''.
I guess this is why all the gullible people fall for the spiritual side, as a cope to see themselves as more righteous that they really are.

>Literally every spiritual tradition I can think of (Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Sikhism, etc.) heavily emphasized the equality of all.
Ah, I see, you are retarded. Here's a small redpill for you anon - literally none of the major religions or spiritual traditions have ever defended equality or touted it as a virtue. None of them. "B-but Christianity!" Nope. That's at best 20th century, if not 21st century revisionism. Christianity speaks of unity and communion, not of equality. These are radically different things. Equality is a sham value and is completely antitraditional.
>I have no doubt in my mind that if Jesus showed up today, he wouldn't be very happy with those of his followers who thought of themselves as superior to others.
That would be because of the exercise of pride, not because of "racism". It was considered not only normal, but as a precondition of health to differentiate between peoples in every single civilisation at any other time period.
