La Critica was his end game, he has accomplished all he ever wanted to accomplish. However, even though he can act like an arrogant uncaring prick at times, I think deep inside he is a natural educator and genuinely wants to teach people how to reason and cares deeply about his “students”. Not really. It's not necessary. I would say it's only sometimes necessary when you're talking about a third person and you want to clarify the context. Example: "Fue al parque" Who? "Ella/él fue al parque" or "Fueron al parque" Who? "Ustedes/ellos fueron al parque."

But this doesn't apply to the other pronouns because they have their own conjugation, so you can tell who is doing what, unlike in the third person. "Fui/fuiste/fuimos al parque"
