I wrote a crappy novel just to play around with the form. The chapters aren't in chronological order. Some chapters are just a short poem, one is just the protagonists grocery list. One was a line graph showing some data relevant to a prior chapter. Just goofin' around and being a hipster.

Is there anything else like this out there? Someone I know mentioned it reminded them of Meditations in Green. I want to see what others have done.

You have to have mastered the conventions to break them masterfully. There's a difference between McCarthy omitting some grammar rules and some literal who thinking it's clever to put nonsense in a chapter and call it postmodern
