I read the first page preview on Amazon and decided it was really gayly written and not for me, so thank you for reaffirming my prejudice that the book is in fact a waste of time.

Your opinion is retarded. The third act with Don Gately is incredibly well done and there are tons of great sequences in the book like when Don and his associate rob the man with a very stuffy nose or the Eschaton chapter.

Yeah immediate turn off. Maybe it gets good but "I" at the start of every sentence comes off as strange. I'm certain this is purposefully done and is linked into the book later on as a masterful play of language or whatever but I cannot bring myself to keep going. Wow.

I'm 26, I wish I read it when I was a freshman in college. Maybe I would have liked it.
