Hey friends. I feel like there is a God, a creator of the universe but I think that religions are just concepts that our very limited ape minds came up with to explain what a being like this could be like. I think the universe itself might be God and that we are to it, what cells and micro-organisms are to the human body.

Any books that go into ideas similar to this?

That's where you're wrong. The Holy Bible tells it as it is.

the holy bible was written by people who "thought" too, or do you believe in magic and wizard spells too?

Wow so the Jews are the Chosen People destined to rule the goyim from Zion and Jesus told me to be a weak cuck who loves his enemies and turns the other cheek. This is truly the greatest and most profound of truths.

He's the "everything is God" guy, right? Are his writings very Christian in nature or more agnostic? Which of his books would be best to start with?

An interpretation is just that. There are no right or wrong interpretations. We could both look at a painting and think something completely different, that doesn't make either of us wrong. It would be quite arrogant to pretend otherwise.

Actually we're both wrong. The painting is meaningless.

you distinguish yourself when you show mercy to your enemies

The transcendental unity of religions by Schuon.

Religions are like the languages God has given humanity to try and connect with Them. Yes the universe is (an emanation from) God, but God is not limited to the Universe. This is called panentheism.

What you outlined sounds more like straight pantheism. This is close to Spinoza. Most systems of thought seem more panentheistic though at the esoteric level imo.

I'd also say Bhagavad Gita and Dao de Jing maybe. They're short, fundamental texts that deal with these ideas.
