I really liked bukowski when I was in my teens, and then I became a misanthropic druggy/drunk who slept with hookers and lived in rundown apartments, so it stopped being so appealing..now i'm in NA and read french surrealists go figure

I still like Bukowksi. When I seriously look at his prose, it does look clunky, but when I'm reading it I get lost really easily in his stories and I think that counts for a lot.

I also really enjoy some of his poems too.
