That said, the claims are unironically true, with the addition that you should read novels to develop basic human empathy and not the likes of Evola and Guenon, who are universally ridiculed thinkers who didn't know how to do proper research in their fields and had poor argumentative skills.
Also, another general good advice is to read everything as if it was fiction, because in most of the cases it is anyway, especially if you decide to impose to yourself the reading of badly written myths from desert tribes such as the Bible or the Quran.
