Can one avoid nihilism after becoming an atheist? How so?

you cant.
you can, though, hijack some religion's morality. It "worked" for many people, but many of them suicide...

atheism and nihilism goes well with depression imo. why don’t you just dump these silly ideologies and figure it out for your own instead of living in your head? and living in your head as a Christian isn’t much better..

How’s your nihilism coming along, anoni-cultist?

>> No.16688816

The solution is to realize that the almost universal belief and morality across the world is the inherent and intuitive realization of disparate people that God's existence is a necessary component underpinning the universe. Your despair of nihilism is driven by your soul, anon.

More nonsense.
Religion is severely limiting and dishonest.

If it was logic that led you to conclude that there is no God, why wouldn't you continue to value logic and the values it creates?

Elaborate. If you’re going to use a tripcode then you have to set a certain standard of quality for yourself. Throwing empty, dismissive statements out there makes you look more and more intellectually unserious every time you do it. Also, you’re likely one of the oldest people who post regularly on here. You have every opportunity to be a mentor to the younger anons on here, to mould their young minds and help them think critically, but you squander it time and time again with your empty snark and substanceless rhetoric. Can you try a little harder? You’re middle-aged for fucks sake, surely you have more to contribute than this, right?

Embrace absurdism, OP. If you want, it's not too late to become agnostic.

I was on your boat before learning to create meaning within my life. Just because life isn't objectively meaningful, that doesn't mean you can't have subjective meaning. It's hard if you just left a religion because religion/ideology creates this large framework to understand the world and which it places you in, giving you meaning and duty. But honestly you'll learn that it's actually liberating, allowing for you to be free and impart your own meaning. Like another anon said, read Stirner for more about that. Also read Nietzsche, Sartre, and Camus.

Have you no family? No friends? No loved ones at all? If you had, you would not have to ask such a ridiculous question
