Do you endorse democracy?

No.

>> No.16682517

No. Power from below doesn't work. Common people can't be trusted to make decisions for society as a whole.

No I'm a citizen of two large countries that have been corrupt for decades and will will continue to be corrupt and potentially collapse in the next few decades. Beyond a certain point of corruption I just feel that having a dictator/king who is willing to kill other elite that act too greedy is just more efficient.

Only if that might is born from wisdom and a deep connection with the Spirit, not mere brute force.

That's what separates the God-kings from the conquerors.

Grug believe some men lion and some men antelope and some men hyena. Democracy give all these men a say, but 2 of 3 of these men are weak. Thus they make Grug weak, even though Grug can lift big rocks. Now black antelope and long nose hyena vote for Grug to lift big rocks for them.

Who decides that?

NO. Read the Republic and the Statesman. That isn't what Plato was saying either.

Plato said leaders should do it for free without any monetary incentive or benefit. Understand? It is about the nature of the soul not the strongest.

Grug wonder often. Maybe Grug not what it mean to be strong anymore. Maybe world no longer need strong men of yesterday. Maybe Grug cling to idea of personal strength, while eschewing group strength.
In the end, all Grug can do is lift big rock. Whether for himself or others, whether forced or not.

Yeah, democracy is the safest way to avoid revolution.

The ideal government structure is a populist-elected, life-term triumvirate.
> say goodbye to Congressional deadlock
> say goodbye to massive, bloated circles of parasitic elite
> enough parties for game theory to take hold
> populist veto power
> will there still be lobbying and corruption
Yes, but once you have two other geniuses/resource reserves with you the scale will diminish immensely

Democracy is decreased time preference at the level of politics. This leads to explicit corruption in developing countries and the absence of long term goals in developed countries. It also veils power; not only at the governmental level (America is not a democracy), but at the institutional level as well. Institutions dictate and manufacture views on real issues, but everyone is focused on the "power" of the government instead.
There is a reason China and Russia are not democracies.

nope democracy doesn't exist - democratic competition is just sponsored conflict for the purpose of power centralisation through the levelling of the social order and the obscuring of where real power lies
