what have I done, /lit/? Bradbury is better than all the other YA shit she was reading but he's still low-brow and none of his stuff has any literary merit. Are there any actually good writers I can introduce her to?

Let others develop their own taste.
Probably your sister is someone who needs very badly to externalize the things that she experiences. DId you never read an autor for the first time and though "oh, this is definitely the best writer I've ever read", to forgive all about it a month later? It happened to me, many times. I did not externalize it because I'm a shut person, but others behave diferently.
Appreciate that your sister is trying to bond with you and don't be such a cunt. There are things more important in life that your sister's taste in literature.

When she finishes the book, ask her what she thought of it, see what stories she liked the most, and make recommendations based on what she liked. If you are a good bro and if your own taste in literature is good, you can easily get her very interested in lit, and you can contribute to the spiritual nourishment of her life. If she likes Bradbury honestly just get her to read Orwell's 1984 or Huxley's Brave New World (which I dislike immensely, but might do the trick for her). After that you can recommend her Koestler's Darkness at Noon (1984 is basically a mixture of this + Zamyatin's We), which might be a good starting point for getting into more "serious" stuff.
