I interned for a criminal law firm during college. One of the cases assigned to my direct boss in which I worked was the defense of a businessman arrested in a police raid named "Operation Catilinam". It was named so because it aimed at a Senator who had collected several criminal indictments already.

When I signed up for Latin class, I thought we would learn to read and write Latin, not learn an algorithm for painstakingly translating Latin sentences into a familiar language.
With some practice I have gotten to a point where I can read the gospels fluently, but I am still very far from being able to enjoy Cicero in the original.
Will I ever make it?
