Who is your favorite translator?before everyone tells me to learn the original language,I’ll tell them “no”.i don’t have the time to learn something that I will never use outside of reading a book and I read for fun, so as long as a translator can get the themes, symbolism, allegories, plot, etc, I’m cool with it.if a book can’t do that in multiple languages, it’s not worth reading.It’s not like I’ll ever demean myself by speaking another language besides English because if someone doesn’t know it in the 21st century, they’re a shrieking retard who should be shot
