Anarchism is socialism realized.
The catch is that it must grow like a fungus.
Tankies are a joke. They pounce like a lion one at a time and gorge themselves and can do no more. They’ve failed, they’ll always fail. There’s no fine tuning it. Anarchism just needs proper momentum

That’s your socialist realism for the day.

Anarchists be like: "yeah, me and my voluntary self-defence communal militia are going to purge all counter-revolutionaries, but that's not like... a secret police or anything, you know! we're anarchists!"

this, I knew an ancom from my philosophy class and he literally said that he doesn't condone what the Soviets did to counter-revolutionaries and when I asked him how he'd have dealt with reactionary White Army (of course first I had to explain to him what that was because anarkiddies can't into history) he said he'd have incarcerated and reeducated them (the greatest irony of all is that he was a huge fan of Foucault's work)

I have never, in my entire life, ever met an intelligent anarchist. They are all - without exception - stupid beyond description. A more naive, idiotic, shallow and pitiable creature than the anarchist you shall not find under the sun. I have met and had enlightening conversation with people from virtually any political tradition you can imagine (and more), but never have I had a single exchange with an anarchist that was worth the effort.

This is literally the intellectual plane on which anarchists reside.

Might as well ask in this thread, what do you guys see in Mother?
I've been reading it this week and it just seems like "thinly-veiled" marxist/bolshevik propaganda, with the idealization of dying in favor of the revolutionary cause. I'm not going to lie, I like the descriptions of the secret meetings, how Pelageya slowly becomes revolutionary, the stashing of pamphlets, the scenes with the factory workers, but it doesn't reads as if Gorky is actually interested in writing a book, but more into writing straight up propaganda himself.
It feels like the characters speak in a very artificial way, completely unnatural, and most dialogues feel hamfisted. It's not a bad work per se, but it feels too preachy at times.
Are Gorky's other works like this? From his writing style I figure he must be a better playwright than novelist. Is The Lower Depths any better, or just more of the same?

>it doesn't reads as if Gorky is actually interested in writing a book, but more into writing straight up propaganda himself
That's pretty much the standard takeaway from socialist realist literature in general. Gorky's status has consequently been tarnished.
I've read some of his earlier works and they were fun, however, some stories and a play (Meshchane - a fun piece with chekhovian feel), before he went down the propaganda route.

They inherited the post wwii fear against war that german judeomarxists had. Marxism was always about praxis; theoretical marxism became identity politics for heterogeneous subjectivities (s0yb0ys, c0omers, phisically ill jews, etc.). Thats why there is no occidentalist marxism, right now, that is not capitalistic subjectivity inforcement.

They literally succeed, but are often betrayed by fake state-socialists. The state corrupts as bad as capitalism, and your camp expects to use them both to achieve socialism. It’s madness.
>But muh Soviets went t’space!
Nice. Where’s socialism now? Can we expect them to pounce on a post-Putin Russia?

Coups aren’t Revolutions. Socialism isn’t state-capitalism. Self identified socialists who kill revolutionary socialists are betrayers. What else you need to hear?
