How do I start with Carlos Castaneda? What is the Castaneda canon, in what order do I read his works, what do I need to have read before him

The first 3 books, if you enjoy those then the fourth titled Tales of Power. If you want more then get the The Art of Dreaming if that is something that interests you. The rest are so so.

The wheel of time is a compilation of the essence of his work put together by Castaneda himself.

Is there anything I need to have read before starting with his works?

Just go chronologically and be aware of the travel discrepancies levied at him and his accounts

I made it about 30% through Journey to Ixtlan but stopped because it was really boring me. Is that a sign I wont like the series? Is there a better start or do I need to stick with it to get to the good parts.

Don't.

I've heard that it's not a good introduction of him or is that wrong?
>>16422936
Already got it covered

May I know why?

What did you not like about it?

Nothing interesting happened. I was expecting to learn about some stuff that I could apply to my life but it never got to that point. Everything Don Juan said was mysterious but unexplained.

read books from #1 to #10. before it I suggest to read Nietzsche The Antichrist and Stranger in a Strange Land, Heinlein. Also Gurjieff. And also I highly recommend to live away from parents. Pet animals won't benefit reading about how feral animals see things.

After Castaneda I highly recommend The Sorcerers Crossing, by Taisha Abelar, it gives womens perspective on teaching, also funny to understand how stupid degenerates modern women are.
