the problem is that because his legacy lives on, just because a person leans towards more generous social policy this also makes them a violent larper for a weird sci-fi project. this is problematic in its own right, but also serves to give the right-wingers a great straw man. bringin Marx into the equation raises tentions in what should be a kind of pragmatism of decency.
