I am looking for a chart on English literature canon. The classics which everyone would have known in England pre WW1. Can anyone help an anon out?

I like Charlotte. She is a self-sacrificing spider who uses the power of propaganda to save a pig from being slaughtered by his Jewish farmer. She has baby spiders because it was that time of her life cycle. We never learn who the father is. Realistic? Don't know, but I sure felt sorry for that pig. He was radiant.

The Trumpet and the Swan is fucking gay.

And how is Charlotte's Web about friendship or overcoming obstacles? Charlotte's Web has awful lessons to teach children. If you're useless, cheat to get ahead in life. If you have no skills, rely on nepotism. Use gimmicks to hide your inferiority. Fucking trash.
